Save Our Pool

Recently our home pool Guinea Gap Baths has been in danger of closure, as many of you will have seen in the news and in the papers. Our swimmers, as well as thousands of members of the public, rallied together to help stop the council from closing this key part of our community. The Wirral Globe has an article and video on the meeting that took place at the Floral Pavilion. To see this click here

Thanks to everyone involved in organising and attending the protest marches, and all the people who gave up their time to attend council meetings and lobby the council. Special thanks should also go to Leah Fraser, who joined us on the marches, and who (together with Angela Eagle) ensured that her support gave our cause a high profile, and kept us in the news. It was worth the effort! You may now be aware that the pool is no longer under threat of closure.
